Can I Give Applicants a “Score” or Rating in iRecruit is a question we are often asked by customers. Scores can be used to evaluate and compare candidates, applications, interviews and more.
There are several ways for you to score candidates in iRecruit.
1. Using the Label, Thumbs Up/Down, or Five Star Rating.
The label drop down is customizable, with no limit to how many different options you can add. You may also use the “Tag” feature.
Labels and ratings may also be used as search filters.
2. Adding an Automatic Score to application questions. Example questions:
Do you have a valid state driver’s license?
Yes (10 Points)
No (0 Points)
How many years of experience do you have in this role?
6 months or Less (5 Points)
1 Year or More (10 Points)
2 Years or More (15 Points)
3 Years or More (12 Points)
4 Years or More (25 Points)
5 Years or More (30 Points)
Adding a value to the application questions will help you identify your top-scoring applications. Scores can be added to any question with a specific value on drop down selections, multiple selections, checkboxes and radio buttons. Unfortunately, we are unable to add a score to open-ended questions. Total score for the applicant will be visible on the Applicant Profile Page, and also on the Comparative Analysis report.
3. Adding a Score to iConnect Form questions.
iConnect can be used to create electronic versions of most paper documents. This may include things like checklist, capture applicant responses to questionnaires, or quizzes after watching a video.
Best Practices to Using Scoring Questions
Make any scored questions required on your application(s) or iConnect forms to make sure that all applicants are providing a response.
Scored questions can be simple Yes/No questions, or they can be a selection of responses.
When you use a multiple choice checkbox, the applicant may select more than one option. iRecruit will count all options selected to calculate the score.
